Modernising public transport with e-buses and IT systems
India's motorization rate is growing five times faster than the population. The transport sector has become the fastest growing greenhouse gas emitter. With support of KfW, the state of Tamil is tackling these challenges by introducing new, battery-powered e-buses and more energy efficient diesel models, and by digitizing the entire bus sector in terms of route planning and bus operation.
